Senometopia illota (Curran) (Diptera: Tachinidae) is a larval-pupal parasitoid on Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner). Host plant preference of S. illota was studied by comparing the percentages of parasitism on pigeonpea and chickpea. The average per cent parasitism was recorded for the months of December and January from 1993 to 1996. It was found that S. illota gives more preference to H. armigera on pigeonpea (17.39%) than chickpea (7.74%).Keywords

Stored grains are infected by number of pest insects. Cowpeas and other dicottilidons are infected with pulse beetle Bruchus chinensis (Lin.). The herbal pallets made from neem seed ('neem' (Azadirachta indica (A.) Juss.) Powder, 'Sitafal' (Annona swuamosa) Annona seed powder, Hing or asafoetida (Serula foetida) & chilli powder in water were tried to control the pest. Results compared with Parad tikia available in market. After 48 hours pest insect get killed. In Tabulates soaked in eucalyptus oil start killing insect pest after 5 minutes. Home made pallets are cheapest, non poisonous for human being. Keywords

Quantitatively color is used in Pharmaceutical Science & Technology as a tool for identification and differentiation of substances. Color is universal organoleptic characteristics used to recognize exact molecule in particulate & bulk forms. Pharmacists who have colour vision deficiency have some problems while manufacturing medicine, carrying out chemical analysis, colorimetric test, dispensing of medicines. It may be dangerous if Pharmacists use color names to identify medicines to the patients or customers unless they know their patient has normal color vision. Color blindness means that personnel having trouble in differentiating red, green, or blue or a mix of these colors. The aim of the present study is to estimate the number of pharmacy students/personnel having problems in color discrimination based on a color blindness test. In present study it was found that 2.2% of the males were color blind while 1.1% of the females were color blind of population 225 students & staff. Keywords
